My daughter called in to these people on Friday and talked to a girl named Kim. She asked what the card was about and was told they help people with credit card debt. She was told they were a member of the AFCC and had an "A" rating with the BBB. She listened for a few minutes and was appalled with the way the girl kept calling her hon, and after a few minutes she hung up. She felt she was talking to Flo at a diner rather than a debt specialist.
She looked them up on the BBB and found they had no rating with the BBB at all. She is disabled and is on SSDI with limited income and wanted help getting out of debt, and was very suprised that a company would over-inflate their credentials.
I called the AFCC this morning about this and was suprised they did not care, but they may report this to the president of the AFCC.
If they lie to you about their BBB rating, what else are they lying about? Here is their link to the BBB:
I advised my daughter to not contact them again.
