$2,900 gamer computer received by ups in which i was unable to use due to know video. velocity tech via phone advised to return asap upon receiving velocity rma number. received repaired gamer after a 5 wk. wait with no reason as to why i could not view monitor.
upon start up had video but had other problems in which velocity tech who was unable to correct problems via phone. final tech decision: re-install oem software/drivers and re-set bios settings. tech had to walk me through setting changes because velocity doe not send pertinent bios settings with new computer. other than a manual in their software which does not include bios settings.
their chassis is v/good but lacks a hrd drv indicator lite on front panel. front panel fan is 900 rpms which is not sufficient for a gamer computer. both of these conditions have been corrected by myself with aid of motherboard mfg elect diagram/specs.
no operating manual shipped with unit. recomend velocity ship a list of phone numbers where new owner can contact the elect component mfg's to eliminate problems. i eventually contacted: motherboard, graphics card, powersupply, & hrd drv mfg's to have answers to my questions & solve existing problems where velocity techs left off.
mfg question ex: why isn't there a 115/230v red switch device located on power supply? velocity pending but a phone call to ps mfg corsair ans: not needed unit will auto adjust to supply voltage.
i would like to notify other potential gamer buyers as to what happen with my purchase. strongly suggest they read internet reviews/forums both positive & especially negative feed back.
