Versatalk fraudulent billing, rip-off Tampa Florida

I gave my bank info to "Freedom Gold" thinking at the time that they would deposit money (loan) into my acct. They too were deceiving, They said after i reviewed their info in the mail, I could do nothing and they would give me a line of credit, or to call and cancel within 7 days.

I cancelled, and they were ok, they did not bill me. But like other people ripped-off, all of a sudden I saw a charge for $49.95, called the bank and was told it was done by "versatalk", like a generated check. I'd never heard of them before nor recieved anything saying I needed to cancel trial membership with versatalk.

Anyway I called the ph# 800 number and could not speak to someone,it was automated, but it let you pick #1 for cancelling, and a voice message said "a refund would be done in 7 days". Still I saw nothing deposited back in the acct, so I had to call again, do the same thing like 2 more times, before I got on the internet to see if they had a website or something.

Thats when I found them on the bad business bureau. I found out if you call them and press ## you can speak with someone, so a rep said "they gotta change that recording" they dont do that anymore, she said my acct was active, but she could cancel it, mail a check to me for a refund.

I dont trust them so I closed my bank account, in case they lied and want to withdraw more money next week, being that that was a monthly membership, (I never knew I was Part of).So I opened a new bank account.

I think for those out there that have the same problem, they should close their acct, begin a new. And this time do not give info to Anyone. "freedom Gold" Should not have given that info out. Since they have peoples info, as well as Versatalk, people should start new, instead of putting stop payments, they could pass it under another name, and to know your bank info is floating out there, is not good.

Thats my suggestion to people. Oh , I asked the versatalk rep if it was cancelled, could she wipe out the bank info in the computer, she denied to, saying we can't do anything with that. I didn't want to argue, since she could try taking money as revenge, as my acct was still open at the time. But I dont trust them, I doubt I'll get a refund in the mail from them, I rather be precautious, and close out my bank acct, before finding out they did another withdrawal.
