I began Victory University in 2010 with high hopes. The entrance counselor was awesome and I was able to enroll very quickly. They gave me an estimate of how long I should expect to be in school if I followed their schedule and what it would cost me. My degree was supposed to be complete in 2.5 years at a cost of approx $30,000 including all books and fees. I am now 3 years into my degree, taking more classes than the schedule they set and am $40,000 in debt.

Their initial report is full of lies and misleading information that I can see clearly as an experienced student and was unable to understand as a new college student. Every single time financial aid stipends come due I have to fight and fight and FIGHT to get my stipend. The business office ignores my calls, sends me to voicemail, doesn't respond at all to my emails and just flat ignores me. And one point I asked for a ledger of my costs and the business office manager literally refused and then took several weeks and many many angry calls from me to get what I needed.

When I went down to pick it up, it wasn't even what I asked for. Several times it has taken my literally months to get the financial aid stipend that they are required by law to get to me in 3 weeks. I have asked for help in transferring credits from other colleges in to Victory and have literally been ignored by my assigned counselor, the registrar, the financial aid department and the business department for months. I dread the fact that I have to continue to go to my online classes, but at this point I am so far in that I might as well spend the next year completing my degree.

I can tell you that this 3 years has been hellacious and the experience anything but Christian. They hide behind this banner to prevent people from asking questions. It is sickening, and there is something very very wrong at this university.

I am a working professional. I want to share my story so that other professionals looking to earn a degree to advance their career don't get sucked up into this lie of an institution. Not only have I learned next to nothing to help me professionally, but I have wasted years and over $40,000. Please, please, please; I beg you to think twice before joining this university. I would give anything to go back in time and choose a different school. My poor choice will effect me for years and years to come both professionally and financially. Please don't make the same mistake.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

It's a scam because I know it from the inside

So as a former employee at Victory University, I can say it is a complete scam. When I first started there it was suppose to be this christian antmosphere and we love God... well let me tell you, it's all BS. Unfortunatly the only Christian people there, are the professors on campus. They were aggainst the school going online for a reason.. they knew it was going to push this school down furthur in debt then they can handle. Oh also they owe Department of Education something like a million dollars. The online division in SD is a scam and a consentration camp. They try to hire the best reps, which they believe ashford university reps are the best and they don't work out. The employees are there for about 3-6 months and then let go because they can't bring in a total of 20 student per term. The advisors AKA sales reps are under ridicoulous stress and it's not fair. Most of the uppermanagement at Victory are scrap parts from Ashford and they are wondering why they are falling apart.. news flash.. their scrap parts for a reason. I have seen some amazing advisor get let go because they actually cared about the student, but sorry they didn't bring in the numbers so they let them go.. It was so sad. I left this crook school because I couldn't bare to listen to the lies they told these students. They take students refund checks and they do shady things. Please beware of this crook school. They need to shut it down... if I had to guess they will in about 2 years if they keep going the way they are going. I wish the investors can see this because it would raise the blinds that have been covering their eyes with hopes and dreams.
