About one year ago we purchased "fractional ownership" with the Mayan Palace. We recently found out it is now called Vida vacation club. We were lied to for 5 or 6 hours and we unfortunately believed what we were being told. We have now tried to use it for one year and it is terrible.

You can never get in when you want to. You cant ever exchange to the places you want to go. You cannot rent out the weeks like they tell you. We may have made our mistake but we don't want anyone else to. I ask that you reply to this post if you have been ripped off.

I would love to brainstorm ways to stop this fraud. We were told this was a good investment and IT IS NOT.  We have emailed them numerous times in the last couple weeks but they have not replied once.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: TeresaSantos - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 02, 2014

Mayan Palace Timeshares are generally sold in a high-pressure environment, and most advantages the sales people tout are illusory. You are promised a cheap vacation for the family, but you probably can rent a similar unit for less. You are told you can swap your unit in other parts of the country for the same quality. However, you may not be able to arrange the place and time you want. By contrast, if you rent, you can select any location when you choose.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: RoseW - ()

POSTED: Friday, March 22, 2013

Mayan Palace sales tactics are hardcore and they will tell you anything you want to hear to get you into the contract and keep you in contract with them. It is too common for the sales representative to offer you an upgrade if you already own a timeshare with them. I'm sorry you fell for this scam, this is a good article from Mexican Timeshare Solutions on how to get out of mayan palace timeshare scams:
