This was the worst experience I have ever had with any complex I rented at. This company stole my deposit and put me in collections for $325 claiming having dirty carpet. This is beyond taking advantage. this is theft. One it does not cost $975 to replace a 1 bed apt carpet. The carpet was not even dirty. they never said a word to me before I left or even after.
This company gives the worst customer service ever. they are rude and incompetent. the building is always breaking and it takes for ever to get anything fixed. i paid my rent on time each month for a year. I feel taken advantage of and also that this company is stealing money. Do not rent here they are a scam, liars, and the most unprofessional company I ever rented from. I have never had a issue with anywhere else i rented. I have always got my deposit back. I tried to resolve with the community they say they dont care.

One it does not cost $975 to replace a 1 bed apt carpet.
- Actually it could depending on the size of the apartment and the cost of the carpet. If you takea small 1 Bedroom as being about 500square feet, at $975 you are looking at only about $1.95 per square foot, which is well within reason.
If you doubt the cost of the carpet replacement, you would have to sue them in small claims. In court they would have to provide receipts/invoices that show the cost. You would also have to show that the cost was unreasonable based on any local price comparisons you did.
You would then have to prove that the carpet was not dirty or needed replacement. For this hopefullyyou took pictures of the condition when you moved in/out. Also, if you had anything like a carpet cleaning receipt before you moved out would help.
