I brought my 1999 Chevy Malibu in because I was hearing a humming noise from under the hood. We wanted it fixed before it turned into a bigger problem, or the car broke down somewhere. The mechanic supposedly checked the car out, and called us. He said the car needed a new power steering pump, new tensioners, and a new belt. He said there was some power steering fluid loss. I asked if that was what the noise was, and he said yes. He said the total would be $365, and I said to go ahead and fix it.

The mechanic called about an hour later and said the car was ready. My husband went to pick it up, and paid for it. As soon as he started the car, he noticed exactly the same noise that was there when the car was brought in. The mechanic said, "Well, we thought it was the power steering, but it's probably the alternator.!! So, We just paid $365 for the problem to be fixed, and we're leaving with the same problem!!!!

I was furious, and called the store to talk to the mechanic. He said that we can't blame him for thinking it was the power steering because that's what it sounded like, but that he's pretty sure that the alternator is what the problem is. I said that I was worried about driving it around now because I don't want to break down somewhere- I'm 7 months pregnant and have a 6-year-old. He assured me that I definately won't break down anywhere., and we could make an appt to get the alternator fixed.

Next day, Twenty miles away from home at night, the car breaks down- it was completely dead- wouldn't start. To make a long story short, WE BROUGHT THE CAR IN WITH A SPECIFIC PROBLEM TO BE FIXED. WE PAID $365 AND BROUGHT THE CAR HOME WITH EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM!!!! It is THEIR responsibility to figure out what the problem is, and to fix it. they obviously never checked the car out before replacing parts that DIDN'T NEED REPLACING.

Then They basically tell us it's not their problem. Now we have a car that is broken down in the middle of nowhere that will require quite a bit of more money to be towed and fixed. I will NEVER NEVER return to that company for anything, and am in the process of filing a lawsuit to recover the money we paid them, and the expenses of the breakdown and later repairs, not to mention missing work because of no car, and being starnded at night in the middle of nowhere with a little kid.

I suggest anyone who is considering using this company think twice and go somewhere, ANYWHERE else. They obviously have no idea what they are doing, and have no problem taking money and screwing people over!
