VIP DJs, Ronnie B Kemper Looks like Ronnie B is back in business, He's now Ron(Ronnie) Kemper Wheaton, Illinois

I saw an ad on Criag's List looking for a DJ on last minute notice.  I wrote to the ad informing them that I occationally DJed and did live music.  I said I had a lot of music on my lap top, but maybe not some of the current songs  I had all the equipment the ad ask for.  I told them that I would help out if they couldn't find anyone.  Ron Kemper emailed me right back and hired me.  I found out he was from Wheaton Illinois running a national DJ service.  I live in Northern Michigan where the gig was(80 miles away from me).

I was sent a contract to e-sign.  I had several qestions after recieving it.  He did send me the groom's name and phone number.  I contacted the groom on Thursday night.  He was to email me a song list which I never did recieve.  On Friday afternoon I was sending Ron Kemper some emails asking some questions(he lowered the pay rate from the CL listing).  At 2:45pm suddenly I realized that the wedding was today.  I packed up in a hurry and rushed to the gig.  I was late getting to the gig.  I got the music started 40 minutes late.  I worked 5 hours and 20 minutes for the client.  I didn't have the bridal song due to not being supplied with a song list by Ron.  The client wasn't happy.  I offered the groom a small refund for showing up late.  He seemed ok with this idea.  Other then all this, the guest seemed to have a good time and I was complimented on what a good job I did by them.  The client said he already paid Ron the full amount at the end of the night.

I emailed Ron and asked about my  pay and said I was going to refund some of my pay to the client.  Ron said he would take care of the client but never said anything about my pay.  I emailed him just about everyday about my pay, no reply.  I never heared a word from Ron for the next 18 days.  Only after I wrote a bad review on him did he answer my emails.  He said I wasn't going to be paid because the client wasn't happy.  I complained that  had $40 dollars out of my own pocket for expensives.  I filed a complaint with the Illinios Attorney General's office.  Almost 2 weeks later I got a money order for $50.  I still email about where the rest of my pay is, no reply.The client supplied me with his email to and from Ron.  One email was signed Ron B. from Wheaton IL.  I believe that Ron Kemper is the same guy.  The client has never recieve a refund either.  It sound like the same scam as other DJs have reported in 2010.  On August 18th I read a review from another bride that Ron Kemper never showed for her wedding after they paid in full.  She has not recieved a refund either.  Please spread the word and put this guy out of business.  It's the same scam as 2 years ago, don't pay the out of state DJ, no show for a wedding, lots of emails before the wedding no contact after the wedding, he keeps the money.  Other positive reviews of his service(on a different web site) I believe were written by some of his associates.
