Virgin Mobile Cell Carrier Virgin Mobile Advertised Unlimited Minutes in Their $50.00 Top Up But Claimed I Used It All UP Warren New Jersey
December, 2012 I purchased a Virgin Mobile paylo phone on sale at a Target store Indiana. For that first month, I only paid $20.00 for a basic limited service. However, in January, 2013, I decided to upgrade to Virgin Mobile's $45.00 Top Up paylo plan that claimed the customer received unlimited calls and texts on the TopUp plan at that amount.
From Januay, 2013 through May, 2013 I had no issued with my Virgin Mobile account information. In April, 2013 I received text notifications from Virgin Mobile that the company was upgrading and changing their services. I read through all those text messages and some of them were confusing, but I tried to understand it as much as I could. One of those changes was that TopUp service was increasing to $50.00 a month;threfore in June, 2013(or May, 2013) I began paying the $50.00 amount for unlimited service and made not complaints about the increase.
In June, 2013 my account balance started becoming confusing. My renewal date is on the 8th of each month and Virgin Mobile kept text messaging me on the first of June, 2013 and then July, 2013 that my account was due on the 1st and they were rolling over money to the next month - from June to July. I was puzzled because I did not need to renew until June 8, 2013, but I did not run out of minutes and when I paid my $50.00 amount for unlimited TopUp online with a charge card, it seemed to credit to my account okay.
However, In July, 2013, things got real confusing on this rolling over balance and I contacted a Virgin Mobile rep on their website. This rep informed me that my account was due on July 8, 2013 and I was good until them. I again paid my July, 2013 unlimited TOpUp amount,and it seemed to be credited to my cell phone, but I do recall that the rep who responded to my question did not seem to really know what was going on. My payment is due on the 8th of each month, but I explained to Virgin Mobile that I don't receive a government check until the 9th of each month. I live on welfare while I seek employment so this $50.00 unlimited Top UP amount takes most of what I have, but you have to have a cell phone nowadays.
VirginMobile did the same thing to me in August, by rolling over what was left of July, 2013 to August on August 1, 2013 even though I don't need to pay until August 8, 2013. On August 9, 2013 I paid my unlimited TopUp amount of $50.00 online with a credit card and the website information stated that it was credited to my account.Then in the middle of a phone call on August 27, 2013 I was cut off from the call by Virgin Mobile claiming that I ran out of minutes. I was shocked because I paid for my $50.00 unlimited amount for the month.
I reported all of this to Virgin Mobile, and their rep replied that I used up all my $50.00 TopUp for August on the rollovers and calls and texts. However, I hardly use my cell at all and don't see why even if my plan was not unlimited how I could have used it all up.
Their plans are hard to understand and that is how they rip us off. Now we know how Richard Branson got his mega-billions by ripping people off. Please join in complaints against Virgin Mobile and these tech giants because that is truly how these people make their billions. When the economy is bad, businesses if they are dishonest resort to trickiness to keep generating huge profits--and we the consumer get ripped off while they live high on the hog
