Visa Walmart Moneycard - Green Dot they were taking out 2&3 dollars without me making any purchases,the last time I used it walmart said I only had 7 cents left and should have had about 28.00 left. all total about 36.00 is missing within 3 weeks and 3 purchases.Thank You. Columbus Georgia

My temp.card was activated on or about 5--20-09 with a 50.00 cash amount.On the evening 5-20-09 I orderd an item with a total cost of 18.80 which left a ballance of 31.20 by walmart E- Mail as of 5-21-09.A walmart E-Mail 5-31-09 showed a 30.20 ballance. on or about 6-02-09 I put in a 100.00 .6-05-09 I was E-Mailed I had 125.20 with no purchases.On 6-04or05-09 I made a purchase of a little under 80.00 which should have left approx. 40.00. I bought 20.00 worth of gas today 6-07-09 and went into the walmart store to check on the ballance,they told me I had .07cents left.Now that is theft in anybodys book.If they steal 20.00 per month per card,thats a lot of money.Im tearing my card up and telling anyone and everyone about walmart and there Visa Card. I just found the main companys address which follows, Walmart MoneyCard, 605 E.Huntington Drive,Suite 205,Monrovia,CA,USA.

I've been working at wally world for about six months, and dealing with these green dot money cards for a minute. Trust me, get the prepaid non reloadable. They take intrest and charges everytime you use the card, and load it. If you don't use it, they hit you for intrest charges. They even threatened a coworker of mine that wally world would fire him if he talked to anyone about the intrest they charged him. green dot to start with is shady. Sorry it's not much help.

You said you purchased gas for 20$ correct?
Did you pay at the pump with this card?
If so then the bank has placed a hold on your card for a larger dollar amount. Your problem is not with walmart or with green dot.
When you purchase gas at a gas station they do not know how much gas you are going to purchase. So they place a hold on your card. Its usually 50$ but I have seen as high as 100$ at some stations. This 50$ hold is there until the gas station does their books and processes the actual amount of gas you purchased. Once that goes through your hold will be released and the funds will become available again.
