Vision Prepaid Cards charge exorbitant fees. They also hold money for at least two weeks, sometimes more. Any pre-authorization will be held for as long as they want. They also charge customers who call customer service and speak to a representative. It is also very difficult to get a hold of customer service.

Another problem I had with them is when I rented a car. The car hard been previously paid for using a different card. The Vision card was used for the hold by the rental car company in case anything happened to the car. The hold amount was $260.00. When I recieved the email about the hold, it said the amount was $313.20! I emailed customer service and they don't me that Visa also holds 10-20% of rental car prices. That would have been nice to know ahead of time. This took place on February 5th. It is now February 16, and that money is still being held.

I would not recommend Vision Prepaid cards to anyone. I have had nothing but bad experiences with them. I never know when the fees will be taken out or what they will be. It is a terrible card with terrible service.

Vision Prepaid is Horrible!!!

AUTHOR: anonymous - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, February 18, 2014

I called Customer Service to find out why my funds had not been released yet. I was told they approved a hold on my funds for sixty days!!!! I asked what I could do to release them and was told to send in the rental agreements and receipts for the car. I faxed them in and called. They told me to call back tomorrow because it was Presidents Day and so they probably hadn't received the fax. I called back again and asked to speak to a supervisor. She was actually pretty helpful. She told me to re fax the documents then call back again in thirty minutes.  I called back and was put on hold for over twenty minutes. Then after after talking with the Supervisor for a while, she had the documents, put me on hold for another half hour then the call got disconnected!!! I called back two more times, was on hold for at least twenty minutes each time and kept getting disconnected. I called again, only to be told I didn't have the final rental agreement, which I did sent, and that the supervisor was going to "disconnect" the call, because we werent' getting anywhere. The jerk hung up on me!!!! We had paid for the rental through Priceline with a different card. The funds being held on Vision were the funds the car company puts on hold in case you crash. Since I didn't crash and returned the vehicle with a full tank, the final receipt showed I owed $0.00 and said "Paid by Voucher" since we paid through Priceline. The idiot of a Supervisor could not understand that. I finally went on the rental cars website and printed another receipt that was easier to read. I called back and finally got someone with a brain and she helped me and finally released my funds!!! It took about eight phone calls and three plus hours.

Please do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this company as you can.
