We purchased a Vivitek 51" Micro Display Projection TV in January,(15) 2005 from the home shopping network. The television arrived in February 2006, two days before the Superbowl.

In early January, 2007, the optical engine on the television broke. Vivitek was contacted immediately. Television still under warranty. The part arrived in the second week of February, 2007 and IAI was contacted for the repair.

March, 2007 (we had had the part for approx. 6 weeks) I called to see if anyone was coming to repair television. Multiple phone calls, could never talk to a supervisor. Placed a complaint with BBB and two days later IAI contacted us about the repair and that a repairman would be here on March 24, 2007.
March 24, 2007 came and went without any repairman coming to fix TV.

I then was contacted by the repairman who stated that he was not qualified to make the repair and knew nothing about TV repair. He advised that he filed a complaint with the BBB on IAI. He also advised me that this was not the first time he had heard of problems and dishonesty with HSN or Vivitek.

So, I then contacted Vivitek and advised them of what this tech had told me. They advised me that they would e-mail IAI and that they had no way to call them.

HSN did not want anything to do with this whole thing. I spoke to two supervisors who advised me that I had to take this up with Vivitek.

Another repairman was scheduled to come and fix television on 3/31/07 at 10:30am. Tech showed up. He advised me that he could not repair the television due to lack of knowledge. He advised me he took the job because IAI offers $25.00/hr. He also stated that IAI did not send all of the parts to repair the television. So again, not fixed.

Several more calls to IAI, Vivitek, and HSN, and no one can do anything.

Would love to join others for a class action lawsuit.
