Took my car in for a head gasket job at VNT Complete Auto. This guy Nick from VNT Complete Auto in North Hollywood showed me that according to his computer it was a 8 hour job and he would have it done in 4 days at a cost of $720 including the fluids and parts. Since I did not want to have any problems later on I thought it would be a good idea if he did it. I saw their reviews on yelp and thought they would be trust worthy. I found them online in North Hollywood as a good mechanic for oil changes and brake changes for cheap. Boy was I mistaken! This was a HUGE Mistake! They are the worst mechanic shop in North Hollywood! I just moved here and it was just the worst thing in the world!
Well a 4 day job according to Nick turned into 2 weeks and when I finally picked up the car he told me that there was another issue and the car was not overheating because of the head. It was a sensor. Since I had already paid and done the work I paid for the sensor that he said caused the problem. Once he changed the sensor he said that the check engine was turned off by him and that I should continue to drive it and see if it was the same problem. I did drive it and almost blew the engine. I was mad at this point!
I took the car back and he said that the vehicle was now giving a different code.. what is a different code?! He took the car in and said he was going to check it and said that my radiator hose was broken and it would cost another $50 to replace. After this I came back a few days later and he said everything was alright. I paid him the rest of the money and left.
After I took the car in about three miles the car started acting up again. I took the vehicle somewhere else in North Hollywood and they told me that there was water in the oil and there was oil spilled everywhere! They told me there was improper compression and that the job he did was completely wrong!
Went back to VNT Complete auto and asked him what he did and to give me a refund because the car was bad and getting worse. After all this he told me he would fix the car can you believe it?! I told him to give me my money back because he had no idea what he was doing. Who gave this guy a business? How does he even do business? It is unreal! After I started raising my voice this middle eastern guy started yelling at me and came up to me and told me to “get the f*** out” and that I wasn't going to get my money.
I couldn't take it anymore. I got my car and I left, after spending over a thousand dollars I was left with my car in worse shape then when I left it. VNT Complete auto in North Hollywood is a mechanic shop that has no idea what they’re doing! I can't imagine how they got their yelp reviews, they were probably a family or a friend that posted that because they advertise cheap oil changes in North Hollywood and brake changes and I was lied to by them. I would really consider someone else, especially for brake and oil changes, you don't want to have an issue with your brakes. These guys need to be investigated for FRAUD!
They run a SHADY business and I am going to do my best to get the Bureau of Automotive repair to investigate them!
