VW credit leasing update

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, September 09, 2016

One of my friend called them to make them an offer to settle and close my account. Volswagen credit has accepted the offer.

They will also update my credit report to show the amount owed as paid in full so my credit score can go back to where it was at 750.

Tough road and I am glad it got done and it is behind me. The moral of the story is I will never lease another car now.

There may be a way you can get out of the lease (flease) penalty.  You need to find all your documents from the original signing of the lease.  Then carefully read through everything you signed (it would be best if you have a legal expert help you go over them).  If you happened to sign up for gap insurance, life insurance, disability insurance or some other program that covers you in the event that you can no longer make payments due to a legitimate health reason, then you may have a legal way out of the contract.  If not, then you will most likely have to pay the penalty.  Leasing a car is only a good deal for the dealership and the manufacturer-never the consumer.  If it was a purchase you could have sold the car to get out of the balance.  Good luck!
