I was prescribed Oxycontin #120 pills for Dec.4, 2011 and for Dec.31, 2011. The reason I ran out before my months worth of pills and had to fill it early on Dec. 31, 2011 was because I was shorted 20 pills, and the second time it happenned in a row, I confronted Tim Lapp the pharmacist and he got very defensive and said that there was no way that could happen as he "did it himself", thereby he told me, himself, that he was the culprit.
When my insurance stopped covering that medication in Jan. 2012 after another prescription was called in, Tim Lapp asked me about that same prescription on the phone a few times and in person, asking if I got that prescription to go through by getting my doctor to do the Prior Authorization.
I had been using that pharmacist at CVS and another Walgreens in the same area for several years because he was so friendly, amiable and new how to get things done. I was shocked and horrified even more because he had gained my trust over a period of time and then ripped me and my insurance off. I'm sure if someone could get the information from my insurance company as to how many pills they paid for, it would be #120.
I knew how many pills I'd taken as I'd carefully fill up a 4 pill box container the niht before, so I would take exactly what the doctor prescribed. I added things up and I figured out that I'd been 5 days short 2 months in a row. Five times 4 pills a day = 20 pills short times 2 months totals 40 pills stolen altogether.
