I took my prescription for a 30 day supply of my medication, which I had to pay for put of pocket until approved by my insurance. The first week I had to pay 14.75 for each pill until it was approved and completely paid for by the insurance. So I paid $0 until I had to pick up the last five of which I only received 4 of because they didn't have anymore in stock, I was charged $0 that day. Than 4 days later I was notified my last pill was ready for pick up, but when I got there it wasn't ready since they supposedly had a problem printing the label.Than they attempted to charge me $43.00 for it.
I made a big stink about the quadrupled price when the pharmacist brought it back down to 14.75. I was concerned since I knew it should've been covered so I called my insurance and they informed me that they did not have it recorded that I paid anything for it and that I should not have paid anything at all since it was completely covered just as I thought, hence this report. I currently have the receipts on hand. I went to another walgreens and they had no problem filling it at no charge and also informed me they also did not have documented that I paid anything for the last pill. Weird!!!!
