This is an FYI to all Illinois consumers or whomever may be receiving the latest WSU newsletter with a Chicago address.

The address 1658 N. Milwaukee Ave, Box 317, Chicago, IL is a MAIL BOXES ETC. location!!! This is not a legitimate business address or physical address.

IL People who have already sent money>>>> If you already sent in your $5000 or whatever fee "Nick" asked for, this may be a better investment than you think! If you are getting nowhere with the state AG or BBB, you should consider filing a small claims complaint in your county circuit court (i.e. DuPage County, 18th Circuit).

The upper limit of damages in most of these courts ( or in the next court level up) is $5000. Since this WSU "company" doesn't respond to BBB inquiries, it is very unlikely they will respond to a court summons, especially if they have to travel all the way to Illinois.

If that is the case, you will receive a "default judgment", meaning you win because they failed to show up. Once this happens, you automatically begin earning 9% interest on amount of the judgment, i.e. 9% on $5000...that's $450 every year.

That sure beats any CD's, money markets or mutual funds right now! This judgment then follows WSU everywhere, and acts like an unpaid credit card, so that they cannot rent office space, open bank accounts, etc. If and when they are caught, WSU will have to pay the judgment plus all the accrued interest up to that point.

Of course one of the problems with this theory is actually finding a legitimate address to have the sheriff serve a summons on. One option is to look up who registered their website. If you can't find any good address, you can also have the sheriff serve the Secretary of State in leiu of serving WSU. This has the same force as if WSU was served personally.

(I'm not a lawyer, but have dealt with numerous small claims and arbitration cases in DuPage County; so if there are lawyers reading this, please correct any mistatements I've made.)
