A card was purchased as a graduation gift. When calling to activate, the prepaid visa debit card, the Walmart money card employee, forgot/mistakenly lacked all information to utilize card properly. When called to report the problem, I was told there wasn't anything they could/would do. Unable to use ATM. Unable to get cash back. Still being charged fees for services not provided. Will not issue a working card
Will not transfer funds to working card. Their system makes errors with no legal recourse
Their system is most often down. Rendering card useless. They bully, intimidate, threaten, NOT to file any report against them. If you do, they say, they reserve the right to freeze, seize, &/or deactivate your card. The card is a Walmart money card, prepaid Visa debit card. It was bought thru Walmart. It's bank is GE Capital Retail Bank, (an FDIC Member). The Visa Card is issued pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A.
Money card also known as Green Dot Corporation or MoneyPak. It's like a Bait-&-Switch. You buy a card with false advertisement/misrepresented info. They then switch the card to a permanent card. Only to find their system is down. So you don't get the permanent card. The temporary card is extremely limited but their bank fees are ridiculous! Customer service is no help. They just tell you to purchase yet another card! But still no refund, no transfer balance to a working card. If you are offered a refund, it's after their fees. Along with paying shipping & handling, you will receive your refund I'm approximately 3 weeks. Provided their customer sevice department approves it without seizing, freezing, or witholding funds.
