when buying car battery from any store , the manufacture gives you a minimum of 1 yr warranty  from the date you receive battery,  walmart policy according to manager Jason, says the warranty continues if you exchange a battery,
does the vendor know your ripping people off by forcing them to have to by a new battery

the technician took the sticker from the original bad battery and put it on the new battery , committing fraud , saying they continue not give you new warranty.  when you receive something the warranty should start new , not continue
I dont believe their vendor is aware of this.

if your going to buy a battery dont buy it from walmart , because  they dont care about the  manufactures  warranty.

they never informed us when we made the original purchase that if we  was to return the batter y the warranty would continue ,  i have never heard of any company doing this ,

I should receive a 1 yr warranty from the dat I receive the new battery.

I would guess reading comprehension wasn't a strong point for you in school...

AUTHOR: Ken - (USA)

I didn't say YOU tried to return a good battery to extend the warranty, but that others might under the scenario you presented.

Again, warranties, don't work the way YOU want for obvious reasons.

Please have a neighborhood 3rd grader help you read this or ask "Josey."

I leave it to the other posters as to who the idiot is on this report.

for your information you idot , they check the battery before they even accept the return,
the battery was determined bad,  not returned casue i just wanted a new battery,

I've got some surprising news for you....

"They never informed us when we made the original purchase that if we  was to return the batter y the warranty would continue ,  i have never heard of any company doing this ,  I should receive a 1 yr warranty from the dat I receive the new battery."

What does your WRITTEN warranty say?  That's what counts, they don't need to give further explanation.

Have you even read the warranty yet, or did you toss it a year ago?

Just about EVERY company does this, regardless of what you "never heard."

If it worked YOUR way, everyone would wait until a day or two before the warranty ran out, turn the product in as defective and start all over, ad infinitum....a really bad business model for the retailer and manufacturer.

It DOES NOT work that way except in your own imagination.
