I was interested in a "free" cd. Just had to pay $1.95 for shipping (That's where they get your credit card #). What I got instead was a bunch of stuff from Wealth International / Real success Institute that said in 21 days I would be charged 129.99 if not returned. I never did get a cd. I tried for several days to call. I was just put on hold or told to leave a message. I left several messages over a period of a week none were ever returned.
I finally got a customer service rep after the charge of 129.99 was billed to my account. He gave me a return authorization # and that same day I sent back the product. I also told him I did not want to be billed for the monthly membership fee of 29.95. He told me I was cancelled and I wouldn't be billed. 2 days later my account was billed for the 29.95 membership fee.
They received my return on the 18th of August. I have confirmation from the Post Office of reciept. On the 20th of August I tried to call them and for the next two days until the 22nd. I finally got to speak with a live person. They told me that my refund would be processed that day. It would take 3-5 days for it to post back to my account.
On the 27th I still had not received the refund. I tried to call from the 27th until th 29th. I finally had to call their consulting hotline and speak to a consultant. She emailed customer service for me. And they said that I would be getting my refund. It would be processed "today" which is a week from the last time they said that it was processed. I told the consultant that if I did not receive my refund then I would take further action.
This is the consultant hotline number I called to talk to a real person. 1-877-860-5632 Her name is Angela. If enough people talk to her maybe someone will start to notice. Candace was the customer service rep who Angela emailed. Angela also gave me another # to call 1-800-709-7344 ext 0. I haven't called it yet I am waiting to see if this works.
I doubt I will get my refund. I plan on reporting them to as many agencies that I can find and then taking them to small claims court.
