Webhostingpad.com, Inc. Cancellation costs more than registration, refund is an illusion Rolling Meadows Illinois

I've signed up with a web hosting plan that had high recommendations online (which should be removed since it's all just a scam). However the services aren't as advertised, everything being slower and more unreliable, many options are also unavailable unless you pay an extra amount of money. These cost are hidden and cannot be seen directly from the main website. The support team is also suspicious, since although they have American names, they talk with really bad English and I doubt the names are real.

The real problem started when I was trying to cancel my web hosting plan, before 30 days expired, so I get a refund and also since I noticed that I cannot disable auto-renewals and don't have an actual customer's account. I fully understood that I can't get a refund on the purchased domain, since the refund policy stated so, the domain being already registered, and that's alright since I didn't mind keeping the domain.

What I don't understand is the hidden costs of the refund. They said I'd have to PAY for the domain, so since I paid 61.59$ and the domain costs 14.59$, I would have to get a 47$ refund, I thought. Now they also state that there's a 25$ charge for refunds, whether checks or credit cards were used and that it will take 7-10 days to complete a cancellation, when the purchase and set up took less than 1 day. In about a week my refund would have expired already and this whole deal is a ripoff. Don't get fooled by their low prices, because they just wish to trap their customers. I will go talk to my bank to block any transfers they might attempt on my card for whatever reasons. Even though they don't have the right to do so, I DO NOT TRUST them.

As a last note, I don't much care about the refund, but about the customers in general. What I want to see is if any of the provided information by them is real and for them to stop scamming people with hidden costs and auto-renewals.
