as i watch the daily news , i see i am not the only person who has fallen behind with these dire economic times . my husband and i had fallen a couple months behind on our payment . i had been injured at work and fighting thru the comp process just to get my pay back . we called wells fargo to tell them we have had a financial hardship and wanted to work out a payment plan , mod plan , anything to avoid losing our home of 6 years with our 2 young children . we did everything they asked ! they sent us a packet of papers to fill out . budgeting papers , we had to send in 3 months of pay stubs as income proof ect. i copied every single paper i sent to them via next day air usps with sign and notifications on it to know they got it and couldnt deny they had not. in the meantime we waited for response. once we got a response we were told in order to qualify for the 3 month "trial" payment plan we had to make a initial payment of $3,820.00 and to follow the next 3 months making the said payment on the loan by a certain date or the contract would be null and void. we followed every single step , even sending in the payment 2 weeks ahead of their due date. we sent in the last payment , called them and they said we were to wait while they reviewed our hardship letter and financials i had mailed to them . we were told to keep calling every week or 2 to update them . on what ? were waiting on you ! so we did so . meanwhile we had a guy come to our house claiming to be from the bank and that he was serving me forclosure paperwork !!!! i immediately called wells fargo to see what the hell was going on , since a this time we were told things were fine and were waiting on our papers to be reviewed ! i argued with the guy at the door, he was rude as hell to me. so i showed him , i can be too ! slammed the door in his face almost taking his nose off (happy face inserted here) we were told by every single customer rep at wells fargo to not send payments in as it would ""mess up our review" we thought this was extremely odd . we owe you, why not send a payment? in the end of this long story , we were FORCED TO FILE BANKRUPTCY AS THEY DID NOT CONTACT US . THEY LIED THE WHOLE TIME , ONLY BUYING TIME TO FILE FORCLOSURE PAPERS WITH THE COURTS . THEN SLAPPING THEIR ATTORNEY FEES OF OVER $4,000 !! TO ADD TO OUR DEBT! WE ABIDED BY EVERYTHING THEY ASKED AND WERE SCREWED IN THE END . AND THIS IS AMERICA ?????? HOME OF THE WALLET RAPED .

You might want to contact your Attorney General's office and report what has happened to you. There's a possibility that your paperwork was lost and the bank may have documents that were forged, right? If that's the case, then the bank would not be able to legally foreclose on you through the courts, correct?
