westside Transport not very honest company Cedar Rapids, Iowa

After working for this company for several months and giving them many chances to fix issues I had to leave for my own safety and sanity.  If at any time during your employment you need to get human resources involved you will be treated like crap for weeks, until your driver manager feels you have learned your lesson. And driver manager, haha it is who ever feels like giving you loads and you can have more than one load put on you due to deliver in two different states at the same time and you get yelled at for it. the recruiters paint wonderful pictures of good home time and good pay. Yeah ok, hometime is more like we will get you home when we feel like it. And the pay as long as you watched your check like a hawk it was ok, but watch out they have lots of little excuses to not pay you what you have earned and it is always YOUR fault, and they will tell you oh we paid you for that but when you ask them to show you where on you check stub they can't find it.

Equiptment is fine as long as it is working, you pray you don't break down because they will play games on why it is your fault it is broke and why they cannot fix it. And they wont fix it until it is a major issue. They dont care if you have absolutely no heat in the truck and the temps are below zero. Who cares if there is an exhaust leak inside the cab, you might die but thats ok. Broke driver seat and seatbelts ahh you'll be fine.

And hope and pray that nobody hits you because that is also your fault. Even if it is proven that it is not your fault. You can be in the sleeper asleep and have another truck hit you and somehow that is still your fault.

Just a very untrust worthy company to work for. Most of the things they tell you are lies, and even more lies to cover the lies. If you like working for company that steals from you, lies to you and has no regards for driver safety then by all means work here.
