Whirlpool Water Heaters ripoff, When we moved into our new house, the water heater was working fine. Now we're boiling water to bath, and no hot water is coming out. Internet Internet

The complete start up system isn't working. We followed the manual, did all that, but yet it won't work. We're boiling water to bath in, we can't wash dishes, we can't do anything with our hot water heater. It is a EnergySmart Whirlpool water Heater, 54 gallons, code # EE3540Rd045. We need this to be dealt with, get our money back. Assistance is needed.

Same Thing

Same thing happened to us when we moved into our new home. Somehow the waterheater got plugged in without having water in it. It burned out the heater element. No hot water for a couple of days. The builder sent someone out to replace the element. Took care of the problem. You need to have someone check to see if the waterheater is getting juice or if it's even plugged in. It's amazing what you'll find in a new home. A couple of months after we moved in, I come out and find a big wet spot on the ceiling. The A/C unit is in the attic. The drain pan was half an inch to the side of the condensation spout. They went up and centered it. Another week goes by and another wet spot on the ceiling. Get up in the attic and big tex A/C had run the line over the top of a 2x4, instead of through the 2x4, thereby causing the line to backup. Put two bricks under the drain pan to elevate to over the height of the 2x4. How stupid can you be? You'll find all sorts of minor irrations in a new home.

If this house is new [never lived in] and the water heater is actually new as well, contact the builder. The contractor who put in the unit would be able to service it or point you to the person who can.

In new homes, all appliances usually come with some sort of warranty. Also contact your realtor, as they may have the warranty info if they sell lots of new homes for that builder.

Or just call a plumber, as I'm sure they could troubleshoot it and get it running.

I would do that even if I had to pay for it. Wouldn't that be better than boiling water?
