I had been searching Work In sports for a sports job since I am about to graduate from school. I found a job that sounded very interesting and I wanted to put in for. I signed up for the 7 day membership for $9.99. When i went to the job and fixed up my cover letter and resume I applied for the job with an instant kick back that the job had already been filled! I just signed up and spent $10 for no reason. I decided to not try and make contact then becasuse I would suck up the $10 and continue to look for a week and be done with the website.

Then I got hit with a $39.99 charge... then another $39.99 charge! I went to their website to call and ask why they keep taking money out of my account and to return it and they said it was in the fine print! They altogether $90 out of my account when I applied for one job that someone already had! I emailed, since there is NO phone number. I got in touch with a man named Joe Gannon who told me that it was in the contract.

I'm sorry I remember allowing $10 dollars taken out, not $90. I then tried to log into my account, no luck. Joe sent me my user name and password, still not able to log in. He said they usually do not refund money but he would ask his supervisor about it. It has been a week and I am still waiting... As for the 39.99 charges, they are not even an option on the website for the money, 3 month, 6 month or yearly charge so Lord only knows what I was paying for. Looks like this scam company got away with my money. Stay away in order to keep your money!

SCAM!!

AUTHOR: D. Scusted - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 23, 2016

Actually, the OP is exactly right on this company. This company workinsports.com is a complete scam! They frequently cull job lisitings that are readily available on the internet and claim exclusivity and require you to pay to access this free info.

But the worst part is that many, if not most of the jobs they post as "new" are no longer available or have been filled. As the OP states, you do not know this until you have paid their SCAM fee.

I see job listings posted weekly on this SCAM site that I know for a fact are no longer active, yet workinsports.com does not pull them down. I have even sent them e-mails about exact postings claiming frraud.

This company is scum. Do not pay them a cent!

Wrong Company

AUTHOR: John Mellor - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, January 27, 2015

I think the user has targeted the wrong company for this report. Most if not all of the information in the report is not accurate which is what makes me believe there has been some confusion on the company name. If there is no confusion then this is a blatant attempt to harm the reputation of Work In Sports.

WorkInSports.com has been in business for 15 years and have always had a phone number listed. In fact the number is listed on every page of our website 1-855-220-JOBS (Toll free!). We also have our address and phone number listed on our Contact Us page: http://www.workinsports.com/wiscontactus.asp

No one named Joe Gannon (or even Joe) has ever worked for this company so I am not sure who emailed the user. I would like for the person who filed the report to send me this email so I can see what it is they are looking at. Our customer service team is empowered to make decsisions so I can't imagine they would ever need to "ask their supervisor about it".

This all happened via email so I would like the user to provide this email so that we can help fix the issue. We pride ourselves on being very accessible by providing our physical address, phone number and online contact form (something our competition does not). Our customers are our #1 priority which is why seeing this report is surprising.

I look forward to seeing the email correspondance from Joe Gannon to help set the record straight.

Thank you for your time.
