was connected to this company's website through a facebook ad. The offer suggested through their page was that I would receive a poster for 99 cents if I joined their poster club. However, I was supposed to have a period of 5 days to decide if I wanted the membership or not and they would not charge the standard monthly membership charge if I cancelled. Once the order was placed the window closed. I expected some confirmation as stated when the order was placed but received none. I did not have the name of the company, only Poster Club. A search online proved fruitless. I then did some research through the "rewards" program that provided the link. I discovered the website address at that point. There is no phone number listed on their website, only an email address (support@wozo.com). I repeatedly emailed this address to cancel my account but got no response. I tried numerous times to log in to my supposed account but the password would not work. Finally I noticed through my credit card's online transaction list that a charge of $29.99 was pending through my account. I immediately filed a dispute through teh credit card company.   I got the phone number from the transaction and called wozo.com. After speaking to two representatives and a supervisor (his name is James Daniels), no one would help with this. They cancelled my account but insisted that they would not reverse the $29.99 charge since they said that I did not cancel in time. I made multiple efforts to cancel, they just ignored them. They never sent me a confirmation so I had no contact information. They do not include any telephone information through their website. I feel I was taken advantage of as an unsuspecting consumer. What recourse do I have at this point? I don't feel that I should have been charged the $29.99 since I did try multiple times to cancel and they just ignored my attempts until the days went by.  The poster that I did order and paid for still hasn't arrived, even though the company is less than an hour from me.  If I wasn't so over the top angry at this point I would take a drive down there and demand some satisfaction.

Wozo

AUTHOR: mholly - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 16, 2010

So about 3 months ago I stumbled across the Wozo add "Free posters, pay 99 cent shipping".I thought "oh wow, these are cheap!"So I proceeded to order 2I signed up and read the terms and conditions, where a 5 day trial was never stated.

About 3 weeks later I noticed 2 charges on my bank account for $29.99.I went to the website to try and cancel my orders, but it would not allow me to log in and when I requested my information I never received any reply.I went to my bank and had them block the website, and just today there was another charge from them on my account for $1.99!

Is there a way I can get my account information out of their greedy little hands? This is ridiculous!

Thanks for nothing Wozo

AUTHOR: jatomlinson - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, October 30, 2010

I got connected to this company through an advertisement online.  It also claimed a poster for 99 cents shipping.  I gave them my debit card number and they charged me the 99 cents.  The charge showed up on my online statement from my bank for a couple hours, and then disappeared.  I never received a confirmation e-mail of my order.  About an hour later I learned that this offer was a 4 day trial offer and that if I didn't cancel right away, they would charge me $30!

So today I called them on the following number: 1-800-471-9464.  They answered "Wozo poster customer service," and put me on hold for about five minutes.  When a customer care rep finally came on the line told them of the issue and asked for a confirmation e-mail, and also asked for them to cancel my service.  The lady promised to send me a confirmation e-mail right away.  I waited for a couple hours and there was still no e-mail so I called back.  I got a man this time who said my account had not yet been canceled, and that they could not send me a confirmation e-mail confirming that I had purchased the poster.  He said a customer service rep would get back to me in 2-7 business days!  I asked to speak to a superior, and he said they didn't do that, that I wasn't allowed to speak to anybody else.  I asked why it was that it would take 2-7 business days to send me a confirmation e-mail that I purchased a product, and why my account hadn't been canceled yet and he said he didn't know why.  I asked repeatedly to speak to a supervisor and he told me I couldn't.  I told him I was reporting WOZO to the BBB and he said they didn't care and I hung up.

It is obvious to me now that they will not be canceling my account before the 4 day trial is over and I will be charged the $30 monthly charge.

Thanks for nothing WOZO.  I will be disputing the $30 charge if it comes up on my account, and I will be spreading the news every chance I get what a fraudulent site this is.

Response to amc in Rockport

AUTHOR: PenyB - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 13, 2010

To amc in Rockport.  Contact your debit/credit card company & dispute the charges. There are several reasons to chose from when you dispute charges, like, services not rendered, product not received, unauthorized charge, or fraudulent charges.  With wozo, I personally would use fraudulent charges or unauthorized charges. My reasons, by not providing ways or means to contact them for cancellation, they technically breach their own terms, thus the charges are fraudulent or unauthorized. I would refer the card company to this website to show proof of how this company scam & practically rob people of their money, without dishing any product too.  I wish there's someone out there who knew a good lawyer to help all of us victims file a "class action lawsuit" against this company.  I for one would join in a heartbeat.  Our numbers would hold in court, plus we all have proof of how distorted their info deceived us all.  Good luck.

Wozo's Integrity Test

Perhaps if you try to order the supposedly "free poster" for .99 cents it will be an eye opener as to the real integrity of this company.  Good luck to you in the future.

Been a member for one year now

AUTHOR: motherforlife5 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 06, 2010

I have been a member of the Wozo Poster Club for one year now and I have never had any problems with my shipments, charges, customer service etc. Well, perhaps two incidents.

This year 2010, I ordered a poster for my daughter as a gift and rec'd the wrong poster. I emailed them and since it was three days before easter holiday I didn't expect to receive the poster, but it was delivered the next day! I still have the poster I rec'd in error and have not yet contacted Wozo as to what action I need to take. I probably would have to send it back via Post Office! Big Hassle! But since it is a posterI thought of ordering anyway I am just going to keep it.

I am in no way negating your annoyance with Wozo, I just wanted to mention that I have never had any problems
