I employed web-guys.co.uk or bacupwebdesign.co.uk as they are now known (same people working) a couple of months ago to design a new website. The total build cost was going to be 1,300. But I decided to pay 150 upfront for the design (glad I didn't pay the full amount).

I received the first draft design within about a week. The quality of the site was very basic and just a crappy off the shelf design. After trying to contact bacupwebdesign (always spoke to Andrew) with changes I wanted, they were very helpful and more than happy to help. However when it came to carrying out the changes nothing ever happened.

They are now not replying to any emails or messages. They run a very small operation, maybe only 1 or 2 people. They are no a registered company, nor registered for VAT. They do not have a physical office, they just use it as a mail address. When you try and call their new number it goes through to a mobile number.

Since they changed their name and website they have invested a lot of money in Google Adwords. Don't get drawn in, a tiny fake company that will rip you off!!! Stay away, prices are low and you don't get anything in return. Too good to be true.
