This agency placed an advertisement on the radio "searching for talented kids for film and television" the ads conveniently play after school to draw in children. You call a number and set up an audition which are all held in a hotel's ballroom/meeting room. From the moment I arrived, I smelled scam. The people running this hustle all looked like classic scam artists dressed up and pretending to be more important than they really are to "wow" the kids and hopefully lock-in the parents. So a big named talent agency with a website with NO search ranking data, only sends 3 reps to host a full day of "auditions"? Yeah right. As I observed I noticed the application for the audition has a slot for "parent's occupation", & then it clicked: They are going to be able to sort callbacks based on parents occupation or income... Genius! Of course the telemarketer that answered the call for the audition ensured that this was all absolutely free to get us there. Well after giving a 30-40 spill from an "talent agent" named Holly who's presentation gave off a salesperson type vibe, the auditions began. "Holly" made sure to drop world-famous names like Taylor Laughter, Miley Cyrus and so on to get the kids super excited. After auditions they give each participant a pamphlet with "talent package options" $1,500-$6,000 per child (only if called back of course). So you lure people to auditions stating its free, then after naming famous people the kids will work with, only after that do you drop the final sales pitch with a 1-5k price tag? This program stinks of scam and has so many obvious signs that these people are just taking advantage of kids. I have seen stuff like this several times over the years and trust and believe its a total rip-off. These people don't care how talented your child is as long as they can get your money. Your child may end up enjoying it or even be in a local production but they will not get on a Disney tv show via this "process". Real talent agencies don't ask for thousands of dollars up-front and lie about it initially before getting your unsuspecting child's hopes up and in a room full of other auditioning children. Not only that why would a top talent agency BUY an ad on a radio station? It would be comical if children and their parents weren't getting taken for a ride. If you fall for this hustle they deserve to get your hard-earned money.
