All of the postive reviews are from the owner of the "company" don't believe that it is an actual consumer.  Of course the owner would try to write a few positive things to rebutle the negative comments.  SCAM........ I worked for them for a couple of weeks.....not only are they scamming people they sell it too, they are scaming their employees, who usually only last there for about 2 weeks before they realize whats going on......This company makes money off new workers who sell a couple of these then quit, without ever recieving their commision.....Everyday they meet at starbucks and have brand new people who are probalby going to at least sell a few of these thing, before they find out whats goin on....we were supposed to get paid on our commisions, but they told me that all my people had canceled, which could possibly maybe (doubtfully) true, but i think they just wanted to pocket all the money.... I also never filled out any paperwork which goes to show what kind of business they are running.....all the stuff on the website you could do anyways without this bs promotion, they ripped off all those pictures on the website from other websites, and they made their website from homestead which is a bs "build your own web page " thing that i did when i was in 7th grade.  A real business would have a real website with their own photos and videos.....my friends were gonna buy this promotion off me but im glad i didn't sell it to them, cause i would have felt bad for ripping them off.....I realized it was a scam when the person i sold it too went to book the horseback riding session and found out he had to pay $45.....he asked the place how much it would have cost with out xtremesocal promotion and they told him it would be the same price.....He hunted me down and was very angry, and I could understand why he would.  That's when I realized I could not work for a "company" like this.

Not ripped off.. Lifted off !!!!

AUTHOR: Billy Morgan - ()

POSTED: Monday, October 20, 2014

It's unfortunate that some consumers will spend more time to intentionaly sabotage a company when they should have spended more time reading the complete sales agreement. This is clearly the problem with the author or rather instigator who wrote the phony rip off article on xtreme so. cal. Please let me set the record straight from my own personal experience with xtreme. First and foremost our party of 12 were more than satisfied with the services provided by xtreme so. cal and sure some of the activities could have been more enjoyable how ever this was not due to any negligence on xtreme so. cals part but more due to the actual company who were the providers and quite honestly out of the 9 events we all participated in we found 1 event that I would in the future not go back to. So it's " Xtremely " outstanding success on xtreme so. cals end to bat 8-1. This problem was brought to the attention to Roz and Michael and they promised us that they would deal with the situation and I am certain that they will. I have never felt the need to go to bat for anybody let alone a company yet in this case I strongly feel that it's a shame that a fantastic company like Xtreme So.Cal is unjustly being attacked. So for those who would enjoy the events offered by xtreme so.cal do yourself a favor........Get Xtreme and I promise you that you will be Xtremely happy....

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I worked for xtreme so cal for a couple months

AUTHOR: jayanne - ()

POSTED: Saturday, May 04, 2013

I worked for xtreme so cal for 2 months. This company is not a scam. I did not last to long because sales are not my forte. I am here writing because I feel bad for the bad reviews. The owner Roz and her daughter Jackie are the sweetest most honest people I have ever met. Unfortunatly in the past they have had bad sales reps who did lie to kids and say there is no charge for gear rental when infact there was. Those people are no longer working for them. They have amazing honest sales reps there now who I enjoyed working with very much. The package is a great deal if you want amazing discounts on xtreme sports. I wish the company the best because they treated me really well.

Question To Jackie.

AUTHOR: Kris - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 22, 2011

I personally filed a complaint against Xtreme SoCal due to the carelessness of the employees. (sales reps) I have a question as to why you honor the 3 day cancellation but ended up calling me a month or so after i signed up. (which was a huge scam by the way). That means it took you guys over 30 days to even charge my card. I just don't see how your business is structured. Your employees don't even ask for Student ID or anything. Not to mention they basically SIGNED my consent form for me, which was illegal.

This is just a comment. I have already done my part to fix these issues.

I work for this company-Clarifying misconceptions

AUTHOR: Jackie - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 07, 2011

work for Xtreme So Cal and would like to clarify some common misconceptions I have noticed everyone Yelping about.

First: It seems everyone is confused about the cancellation process. When this business was established there was NO cancellation at all which was clearly indicated in the contract which each consumer is legally responsible for reading before signing. Xtreme So Cal has since incorporated a three day cancellation policy which is now indicated on the contract. It says five days on the website because after following through with the cancellation email we give an additional five business days for the consumer to follow through with the second half of the cancellation process which is simply to mail back the merchandise and cover a 30 dollar cancellation fee. I have two things to say about that. Firstly, many companies including cell phone companies have a cancellation fee that is charged if the consumer cancels before a certain period of time. Secondly, a three day cancellation period is common and is considered a cooling off period for consumers. This time slot is average for a purchase of such a minimal amount.

Secondly, To any disgruntled ex-employee of Xtreme So Cal. We do not want people working for this company who do not see the value in what we promote to college students. It is a buy now situation because we have a limited number of promotions to give to each campus. This is why our promotion can not even be purchased online. This company is built off of honesty and integrity and the majority of our successful employe's are passionate about Xtreme sports. We do not manipulate or lie. We also have a throrough background check and over 80% of our current staff has a bachelor degree or more. Perhaps you are upset because you were not offered the position and have a vendetta against this company. If you were offered the position perhaps you were incapable of selling the product without lying. This is what creates a bad reputation for a great direct marketing company!

Finally, as far as the discounted activities are concerned Xtreme So Cal is supposed to be presented as a huge discount package much like Groupon. Yes, many of the lessons are free. However, huge activities like skydiving are simply discounted which I feel is fair. Not only does Xtreme So Cal offer the best discounts you can find but we also research the most exclusive locations. If you are going to jump out of a plane don't you want to jump out of a safe location with great reviews? We do this footwork for you.

It is the consumer's responsibility to read a contract before signing. Contracts are a part of a purchase in order to protect consumers like yourselves from any "he said, she said" miscommunications. Adults over the age of 18 are deemed intelligent enough by socieities standards to maintain the responsibility of reading a contract before signing ESPECIALLY below a debit/credit impression. Not only is this common sense it is also a law. So, unless you have a mental challenge or are in your 90's you are legally obligated to any purchases and all stipulations surrounding anything with a signed contract. Believe it or not contracts were established to PROTECT consumers. If anyone has any questions regarding extreme so cal feel free to send me a private message and I will reply promplty.

I have personally done several of the activities on this promotion and have had a great time. Xtreme So Cal is here to help young college students fall in love with an Xtreme sport and get excited about a healthy active lifestyle. I do not see any scam in this. We give you guys an opportunity to try a wide variety of activities at a discounted rate with the hope that you will find one or more you want to continue doing on a regular basis.

Peace,

Jackie Morgan feel free to call with questions 818 483 3777
