After reacently signing up for YellowBook.com advertising. I quickly learned what a mistake it was.

The local sales reps finaly convinced me to try some advertising with Yellow book after many visits to my office. They told me how easy it would be to cancel my advertising with them and their would not be any fees with discontinuing the interenet advertising if I was not satisfied with their service. I was also told they would give me a free ad in their book if I signed up for the internet advertising. I explained to them I tried the book before and it did not work. They said they would do it for free to prove to me that it did.

I decided to move forward with internet service and added the video option(extra Money) to really step up the ad. That is where it all went wrong. The video service was poor and they did not follow my specific directions. I paid an (additional $200.00 for a voice over option) and it did not match the video content shown on the screen.

In order to fix the video my company Empire Graphics LLC. would have had to provide digital photos and graphics to compensate for their poor work.

Three months into the service the traffic going to my website (5 visitors per month)was costing around $100.00 per visitor. Which did not make since after reviewing the statistics the sales reps showed me. The reps showed me vistors to yellowbook.com searched for signs in my county and the county next to me hundreds of time per month. So I bought the top spots.

Well after 3 months and almost $2000.00 dollars later I cancelled the service. Now they want me to pay an additional $500.00 for an early cancellation fee. My sales reps told me I could cancel at any time with no additional fees for early cancellation. I have contacted both sales reps, their manager and the corporate office. The sales rep manager even told me that corporate can not charge me the $500.00 fee because it is not on my contract.

Corporate refuses to waive the fee because they say the fee is on the third page of some welcome package they mailed to my at some point. I never received this package and they have no signed contract that states their will be a $500.00 early cancellation fee. Yellow book also forced me to pay for my free add that I never wanted because I did not complete the contract.

Beware of fees that do not exist on your yellow book contract. I am still being billed this $500.00 after talking to many people at many levels. They refuse to take this off my bill.
