Last week my air conditioner went out.  I am a mobile HVAC technician and have worked on 40 ton units so I know my way around troubleshooting, so I did a quick check and found the condensor fan inoperative.  I am working alot and don't have the time to repair myself so I enlisted the assistance of yes for repair, and informed them of exactly what the problem was and even provided the make model and year of the unit.  I was informed that there was a 79 dollar come out fee, which I thought was ok, as usually if you elect repairs that comess off the bill.

The technician showed up late, and tried to pressure my wife into a 8,000 unit replacement.  Thankfully she was able to get a hold of me on the phone and I told her no, just replace the fan motor.  700.00 later it was fixed.

Later I good friend of mine who works for another air conditiioning place looked at the unit with me, and told me that the unit was fine, and his company would charge only 300 for that job.

My wife called yes to ask why the service evalutation fee was still there after spending so much money on a repair, they told here there was nothing they could do about it.  This is not right and goes against industry standards.  She  also found a 50 coupon on the website afterwards and asked why she was not made aware of it, Yes told her that they send out flyers and there was also nothing they could do about it.

I am very dissatisfied with yes, they gouged me with inflated prices, and tried to pressure my wife who doesnt know much about air conditining into a expensive repair that wasnt' necesarry.

You are as smart as a bag of rocks

"I suggest you shut up before you remove all reasonable doubt of what an idiot you are"

Who is the idiot here? Let's examine the evidence:

"yes air conditioning and plumbing Bait and switch price gouging las vegas Nevada"

I'm smart enough to know that a company name and the name of a city should be capitalized. I'm also smart enough to know that what you described does not meet the definition of bait and switch and that you were not gouged because they were not the only air conditioning service available. Only an idiot would make four errors in the title.

"I am working alot"

I'm smart enough to know that "alot" is not a word.

"that comess off the bill"

I'm smart enough to know that comes has one 's'.

"she was able to get a hold of me"

I'm smart enough to know the correct word is ahold NOT "a hold".

"the service evalutation fee"

I'm smart enough to correctly spell evaluation.

"they told here there was nothing they could do about it"

I'm smart enough to know how to spell her.

"wasnt' necesarry"

I'm smart enough to properly spell wasn't and necessary.

I'm clearly much smarter than you, so if I'm an idiot, you must be below the level of an idiot.

Who are you to tell me that kind of crap.  When my unit broke it was 120 in las vegas, my friend couldn't get to us for 3 days, try living in a house in the desert with no ac.  I was working 14 hour days, and by the way I am a fleet manager, NOT the competition.  I suggest you shut up before you remove all reasonable doubt of what an idiot you are

What's the real story?

You service air conditioners. Your good friend services air conditioners. You hired someone else to service your air conditioner. You are not satisfied with the agreed upon price you paid for the service. Perhaps you or your good friend should have performed the service. Perhaps you are lacking confidence in yourself or your friend's ability, or you are attempting to discredit the competition.
