yes! Communities Not knowing what they are talking about, very poor communication Dubuque Iowa

We were looking at purchasing a home and found what we seemed to think was the perfect, or perfetct after clean up, place. We talked to the owner of the property and put earnest money down. Had the property inspected, out of our pocket. 

We submitted the application and paid their fee for the background check. We received a phone call from Donna, the "property manager" that told us we were denied. She gave us a number to call along with the reference number to find out why we were denied. We called the number and they informed us that they dont make the decisions, they do the background check work for companies, we would get a letter in the mail explaining why we were denied and should receive it soon. A week later we called again and were told that is was just sent out the day before and we should get it in a few days. A week later we receieved our letter and it just told us we were denied no reason why. We called the number again and she informed us that we would have to call Donna and ask her. We did and she told us she knows nothing that the letter explains it all. We explained to her that the letter says nothing. She wanted to see the letter so we took the letter to her. She read the letter to us, like we don't know how to read, and said it was due in all or part of a report. We said ok why were we denied? It does not tell us. She asked us if there was anything on our reports and we told her that last year there was a charge of assault but it got dropped down to disorderly conduct but that they court has it still listed as an assault. She said thats probably what it is. She asked if there was any paperwork that stated that is was a reduced charge and we said we had it. We told her we did. She said bring it in and I will resubmit it and see what they say.

We were informed that the owner of the trailer we were going to buy had moved out over the weekend. When we took the papers to show the correcct charge we asked if that owner had moved out and she informed us that he had. She also informed us that another couple had submitted an application for that place. We drove by the lot we were looking at and the gentleman was there packing up. We talked to him and he informed us that he had been in to talk to Donna 4 or 5 times about our application and he told us that she informed him everytime he came in she told him we were not getting in. So he sold the place to someone else. We went back to her office and she acted like she didnt know what was going on. She told us that she isnt allowed to give out personal information. We asked her then why did he tell us you said that? She said I dont know. We asked her why is it that we got denied for a disorderly conduct but you have sex offenders in the trailer park. She acted like she didnt know what we were talking about. We asked her why she didnt inform us that someone else was putting in an application for the same place when she was working with us to approved. She didnt have an answer. Needless to say there weere a few words exchanged about her incompitence and her behavior. 

After leaving there we found that several people that live there are having problems with her and the owners of this community. These communities are a joke and you should stay clear.
