In twenty five years of working with people I'm a say businesses change tremendously. We're in a generation were every thing most be done yesterday. Internet has definitely changed our scope and perception of business, personal relationships and etc. It amazes me that in our society we can write anything we want about anyone without credible facts. 

Most business owners have to take on many rolls when embarking on opening your own business. You must educate yourself in your field extensively on top of becoming a semi pro attorney. Most of the people that walk through your door nine times out of ten can not afford your services, but try anyway. When you do explain to them how your business works, they not their heads and pretend that they understand fully what you're explaining to them. People today here and see what they want to and I will never be amazed by some of the things I have seen over the last 25 years. I leave this up to the reader to interpret what I'm writing and hope that you come to your own understanding.

 I don't mean to keep responding like this but seeing ur report has given me an intense energy to speak out more. I just want to reiterate that what you experienced is exactly what we experienced in our time with Jay. On top of that, I had several instances where Jay asked me to give him information via email and then consistently denied I ever gave him anything, even when I had done it right in front of his face. The first time he asked to give information it was for another show he was developing. He asked to get topics and research material, and requested it emailed to him. I did EXACTLY this. And I did it many many times. But For two months Jay would go on to deny that I sent him the material. He had a penchant for doing this in a very humiliating manner at the studio, in front of everywhere who was working there, the cast and crew. I even did it right in front of his face as mentioned earlier, at the studio in front of everyone and would later still get a firm denial. It honestly felt as though he were purposely trying to embarrass me for absolutely no other reason than to feel powerful. Eventually he stopped even mentioning it. Another instance, he asked me to do creative descriptions for episodes of the show. I did just that and even made sure to call him and get his confirmation that he had received them. The next day working at the studio, while preparing to start shooting, in the middle of bashing me for something else I didn't do, says I never sent him the descriptions. When I remind him of our phone conversation the previous night, he makes up a horrible excuse. He said "oh I was wondering what those were". Like it was said in my previous comment this is one of many examples of Jay's shady, dishonest ways that others that Iworked with have experienced as well. Other ones are money related as you yourself have experienced. Again, I didn't intend to post again but I've been holding in a lot of unexpressed emotion relating to my experience with Jay Keith. Seeing your report is actually relieving to me because it gives me the chance to spread the word.

I and a group of friends "worked" for this man Jay Keith last year from Febuary to July 2013, in his YJA EBR studio in Philadelphia, per the suggestion of a friend who told he was in need of a crew for a show he was developing. In the beginning everything seemed peachy keen. Initially, he came off as a very nice, perusasive, well-versed, and businessified man. He had pumped us up with the idea his studio company was going to make millions of dollars and we were all going to be rich managers in the company. In addition, he promised to teach us everything about video and TV production, and entreprenuership.

At this time, we were working on a television show that honestly wasn't too bad of a concept. Our job was to manage various areas of the set, which was usually always the camera. But from these initial interactions came nothing but lies, unfulfilled promises, and the revealing of his true colors. Slowly but surely, Jay began to reveal he had a very nasty side; he was very rude and disrespectful to us, constantly lied and blamed us for EVERYTHING wrong with his studio set, seemed to always be withholding information (information he promised he would give us), and ultimately would turn of out to be something of a con man. Coming to his studio went from being loads of fun to the bane of our existence, in only a short time.

I learned throughout my time with Jay that we were not the only ones who had bad experiences with him. Various sources including those close to me, told me that he was fraudalent, a poor businessman, and a thief. All these traits I have well observed in my time being with him. Unfortunately, Jay can be incredibly convincing and it was this aspect of himself that caused us to stay for as long as we did. 

I say "worked" for him because we were never contracted as employees, despite promising us we would. Instead, we were volunteers. But even thats not a good way to describe it. We were basically lackeys who did his bidding. He hardly ever taught us anything about the field and on top of them gave us the run around everytime we asked him a question about his studio business. He had even tried to convince my friends to leave their jobs and quit school to work with him. And on top of that he still owes my friend money he promised to pay back.  

Eventually, at different times, we left the studio, without looking back. His show has still yet hit the air. Honestly, all that I have said doesnt even truly express the utter CRAZINESS that went on with Mr. Jay Keith and his YJA EBR business. It was a roller coaster ride I would never want to get back on. Believe me. Funny thing is I heard that has an entirely new crew working for him and they have been going through the same experience. In addition, I hear reports from close sources that he is still ripping people off. 

I don't like to bash people but Mr. Keith really has made it difficult. To his credit, he is an intelligent guy and pretty well-versed in the field of video and tv production, and seems to have an understanding of business. But all of that is easily overshadowed by his fraudulant nature and shady intentions. I don't know what he truly seeks to gain in life by doing this or being this way, but my only guess is that he has some big personal problems. I am glad to see that you posted on ripoff report and put out the shady ways of YJA EBR and its only working member Jay Keith.
