Young Explorers Young Explorer's Creative Educational Products Placed order for Christmas on 12/06/13, called on 12/19/13 and was told that 2 items were on back order, and that they had a problem with my address. They had my email, phone, total address, and had not notified me of any problem. Now they say that I will not receive the order until after Christmas, unless I want to pay expedited FedX 2 day for $30 more. What about their claim to guarantee satisfaction, plus they had also guaranteed to get the order to me before Christmas if ordered before 12/08? Chelmsford Massachusetts

This company is supposed to be a first class provider of educational toys. They claim NO-NONSENSE GUANRANTEE: if for any reason you are not satisfied with the product, return it for a prompt and courteous exchange, credit, or refund of the merchandise price. I guess that is the c***k in the guarantee. First you need to receive the merchandise. I was sent an email from YoungExplorers.com guaranteeing that an order placed before 12/08 would indeed arrive before Christmas, and on 12/06, I placed an order for seven items at a total of$221.65, with a $19.95 charge for shipping and handling. I received an email stating that they had received the order. On 12/19, since I had not received the order, or any correspondence about the order, I called the customer service number. This started as an automated service, yes, the order was confirmed, yes, they were working on it, etc. so I requested a representative and started to dispair, the phone would not let me go to an agent, instead it went on a loop, but after about 30 minutes a human being came to help. Yes, they did have my order but two items were on backorder - no problem, send them later but why have I not received the rest? Well, they were having a problem with my address: but UPS and FedX do not have a problem with my address, so why had they not notified me? No Answer, except to say that if I still wanted the other items before Christmas, then I would have to pay an additional $30 dollars, on top of the $19.95 already paid, in order to have it ship FedX 2 day!!!! This is outrageous!!! They had promised to get the order to me before Christmas if ordered before 12/08, so I ordered 12/06 and they acknowledged receipt of the order on 12/06, BUT NOW, I CANNOT GET THE ITEMS WITHOUT PAYING ANOTHER $30?!!?!?!?! I will never order from them or their affiliates ever again, and will tell the grandkids why they are getting money instead of gifts.
