YP Advertising Solutions YP Deceptive Tatics Marketing, Misrepresentation of services and contract Maryland Heights Nationwide

 I received several calls from YP and I ignored them for a long time.  One day I finally answered and the gentleman on the other end of the phone was Eric.  He went through his spill of what YP advertising can do for my business. I explained to him I have an internet based business and advertising locally did not work for me in the past because the people who search locally were looking for a brick & mortar store.  He suggested a campaign in California at the time it didn't make since to me because I felt people using their services would be looking for a local store.  I told him I would give their services a try but I would not pay for the services if it did not do what he promised.  He went over a phone contract where I did not hear I would be locked into a 1 year contract without a way to cancel the services.  After 2 weeks of the local search, I received approx 20 calls from california and everyone of the customers were looking for a store in california they could walk in to.  I called back to talk to the rep and let him know that I wanted to cancel these services before we get too involved as I could see these services were not the proper fit for my internet based business. He told me I could not cancel until the services run for a while to show they are not working. I told him I am not interested in their services and I would not log into the system or do anything related to their services.  They continue to provide some level of service because they are billing me.  The amazing thing is after my call to him the calls stopped coming in.  They are expecting me to pay them several thousands of dollars for their services and have sent me to a collection agency.
