I've been a member of Racebook.com for several years. I only use them a couple times a year to place bets, usually for KY Derby and/or Preakness. I've never had any major problems other than the site going down during heavy betting periods. Racebook always gave me my winnings without any problems until this year. I didn't win much (as usual), only $37 but I wanted that money. When I went to the withdrawal page, Racebook.com wouldn't let me have my money. There was a $200 minimum to withdraw through wire and a $100 minimum to withdraw by check. I've never had this happen before and I was not notified of this policy change. I would not have used Racebook.com if I had known about this.
In addition, the site was down today during the derby for a significant amount of time. I ended up going to another site, depositing money there, and using that site to make my bets. Therefore, I lost the money I had deposited at Racebook because I couldn't use it.
I did later go back and place a few bets on Racebook once the site was back up but still, I feel I should be able to get my winnings from them. It's MY money and they didn't inform me of the policy change requiring $100 to withdraw. In addition, with the problems I had with the site being down and having to put more money into another site, I think, they should take that into consideration.
I chatted with a rep online who was no help. He said there was nothing that could be done.
I don't recommend using Racebook.com for placing your bets. I've since done some research online and found people are having alot of problems getting their money. And they don't have good ratings compared to other sites. Stay away!
