HomeAccessUSA "Mitch" Doubled dipped and took $396.00 from my credit card! Los Angeles California

If it isn't bad enough I got suckered out of $198.00, (for a web access list to homes that are "supposedly" being forclosed) HomeAccessUSA went BACK , and took out an ADDITIONAL $198.00, 5 days after the first $198.00 was taken out from my credit card.

I called "Mitch" (probably a fake name) and she said she could not see where they double charged me. WHAT BS!!! After 2 days of ping-ponging back and forth with emails and persistent phonecalls on my part, she finally "figured it out." I was not about to let this go. I told her I wanted a refund right then and there. She said it would take a few days.

I checked EVERY DAY for 5 days and did not see the reverse charge on my credit card. I called back, got disconnected a good 3 times, and waited in queue for about 15-20 minutes. But I finally got Mitch back on the line. To make a long story short, she siad the refund would be on my statement by no later than the end of the week. They did credit me back the second $198.00.

They never apologized for taking it out in the first place, nor was I given an explanation as to why they double dipped. CROOKS!!! I have since changed my credit card #, and began a fraud investigation.

As for the first charge of $198.00, which I was completely taken, (the rep on the phone said he only needed my cc # to verify my identity and that nothing would be charged) I have returned the UNOPENED package of documents with a return receipt. I just got it back verifying HomeAccessUSA received it. I called Mitch and asked her when I will be receiving my refund. She was VERY NASTY and said in 30 days. Fine by me, I will be calling and hounding these people EVERY DAY until I get my money.

The catch is, you need to return the unopened packet within 24 hours of getting it in the mail. (which luckily I did, with a return receipt)

If you see something like this on craigslist.com:

Beautiful 3 br home ready to be taken over, owners could not afford the mortgage and are being foreclosed...... no credit check required.... deed will be transferred into your name with 4-6 months..... blah,blah blah!

Run the other way! This is the biggest scam going. It sounds so good that it's easy to make the call. But TRUST ME! I have learned my lesson ten fold!
