I signed up for buyer leads on HouseValue.com to receive 6 eligible leads who I would be able to contact.

Steve Hammond sold me buyer leads program over the phone, explaining that I would receive 6 eligible leads with correct phone numbers and addresses. He mentioned, that House Value provide very good leads and agents have a great relationship with their prospect clients. He described House Value as different from Remax, where (in Remax) you just receive e-mail address and you might never be able to contact a client. I hesitated, but I was promised that I would actually be able to speak with a buyer calling the number provided by HouseValue. That promise made my decision to sign up for the program.

I received 6 prospects within the first month of service and none of them had a correct phone number or even a correct address, therefor I believe Steve Hammond made deliberately false statements while advertising and selling this program to me, since none of the leads I received were active.

I called HouseValue to discuss this situation and resolve it to our mutual agreement. I talked to sales representative Amanda and I was shocked how rude and unprofessional she was. She not only did not listen to me, but she also made personal and offensive remarks about my professional qualities as a real estate agent and a business woman. I do have records of both conversations, with Steve Hammond and Amanda.

I am looking for a service with a professional attitude to me as a client and the one which would supply me with eligible leads, so that this information would help my business to grow. HouseValue did not keep up with the agreement, it provided leads with false contact information, therefor it has no right to demand a payment of $299 a month for any month when such leads were received or $800 for termination of its service, since no leads appeared to be true and active during this service.

However, House Value have a contact that commited to pay a canceletion fee. At moment I signed the contract I haven't pay attention on canceletion policy. Consumers are protected in US, so I assumed, that, as ussually, I could cancel contact within first mothn of service if I am not satisfy. However, contact state that I must pay 50% of UNUSED term of contract.

I beleive that consumer must be protected and be able to make chose to cancel without paying 50 % of full contract, specially if consumer made his mind very fast regarding quality of service. First time I called House Values after 3 weeks or 5 leads I got, because I realized that first 5 leads are not quality of leads that I want to pay $299 for. it is overprice and tooooo expensive. House Value itself can sent me these leads, it doesn't cost to open e-mail and sent to me for $299. I want to House Value to proof that leads are real people.

House Value don't sent me writing answers, they prefer to make phone calls.

I beleive that I must be able to cancel without problem. I believe it is illegal to charge consumer 50% of service that consumer wants to cancel. there is not even right of choice.
I heed help.
