I own a small recording studio and we were toying with the idea of accepting credit cards. Peter rhee, a representative from Merchant Lynx Services stopped by and gave us a total pack of lies. he said that the machine would cost 29.95 per month and after 4 months, it would be ours to keep. we would just pay 1.6% on each transaction. No extra fees! we asked a number of times, "Are you sure that there are no hidden fees?" he said after the 4 months it's just 1.6 on the transaction, That's it! When he left, we had a copy of the contract but it was missing the first page (the page where the lease terms were written in the blanks). Now the company says that we signed up for a 48 month lease and taxes will be added to the 29.95 per month. I called costomer services and they told me they were looking at page 1 where it clearly states 48 months. they sent me a PDF of that page and obviously the 4 was simply changed to a 48. not to mention that the initials on the page where not mine!

The company will not let me out of the lease! I know now that I'm not the only one. Can't trust anyone.

merchant lynx scam

I was solicited by the same Peter Rhee who also altered my contract and did not leave me anything concerning a lease. I am also stuck with the same 4 year lease at 69.99 month

I had problems with hidden charges

I suggest that the sales reps. for Merchant Lynx explain the penalties a lot clearer. The salesman I spoke to never even told me about the charge for canceling before by contract was up. Fortunately, we search for info on the company and found so many complaints that took us hours to read. Good luck to you honest business owners.
