I was told that upon arriving at campgrounds we would be staying at a motel type room and that it was a nice place. Money was paid in advance. $150.00 a night. for three nights, cash, money order. That was done.
When I arrive at the End of the trail Campgrounds and open the door to my motel type room I almost had a heart attact. I was thinking something along Maybe like motel 6, was I wrong. This place had carpets of two differnt colors that was sewned together and looked and felt like it just came out of the trash can.
The air cond. didnot hardly work at all, ..well it blew air. The windows were taped shut from the out side. The mattress on the beds were very soiled and smeled badly. The bath room floor was all wet from the 5 gallon bucket under the sink that was running over from the bad pipes. The shower curtin , you had to tie in a knot on one end or it would not stay on the curtin rod. There were wooden planks screw on the walls to give the room a rustic look, shack look. Out of the 3 days I was there the hot water was on only once.
What a big mess this place was. This was during The Big Motorcycle rally in Sturgis South Dakota. You are lucky to find a place to stay during that week and once you do you don't want to give it up no matter what, and that is what I did.
I have requested one night of monies back, which is $150.00 and
have been refused. Maybe you can help. Have written to the Sturgis Chamber of Commerence, but no reply as of yet. Some complants are located on www. black hills on line at the message board.
