I got a Compaq computer from Aarons rip off store in Fitzgerald Georgia. Right after I got it the Norton anti virus subscription ran out. When I tried to upgrade it online I did not have the microsoft product code. I went up to the store to get it. When I ask for it the Manager started asking me why I needed it. When I explained it he walked off in discuss. I few minutes later he came back with a with a CD for a Dell computer. Handed it to me and told me that it would not help me but I could have it.

I had to just turn and walk out of the store to keep from going to jail. I don't think I've ever been that mad at someone. What a bunch of jerks. I found an email address to there customer service so I sent them a nice little note telling them about what happened and I never heard a word from them about it.

My advice to anyone thinking of doing business with these people is to find you some place else to do business. They are very unprofessional and rude. But I will say this if I don't get my software real soon, they can talk to my Attorney. I'm tired of playing there game.

if you need the code i believe it should be located on the side of your computer or if you need there is an 800 # with Aarons computers for the customers to call 24/7 i will get back on here later and give it to you but you need to find your service tag # on your computer before you call they will ask for it sorry im at home and dont have the # on me

Microsoft product code...

I am currently a G.M. at an Aarons Sales & Lease franchise store..

You will find your product code on a small green sticker on the side/bottom of your tower (or the bottom of your laptop). It will be imprinted with a Microsoft insignia with a thin metal strip in it. The code will be in thick black/bold print on the sticker. That code is used to verify that you have a legal copy of the operating system.

These problems arise a few times out of many and it is in no way a fault of Aarons it is in fact a fault of Microsoft/Norton.

And if you aren't interested in paying to renew the subscription to Norton which is what will happen... our computers come with only a limited trial of Norton or Mcaffe anti-virus suites... can i suggest sites like avast.com or avg.com....these sites have absolutely free anti-virus programs that are available to everyone
