Luck dawg??? You work at Aarons??
I hear what you're say'n about how many managers stores go through. Wasn't there long, but was there long enough to see them come and go. Just like anywhere, when a person is treated like crap they leave. I've seen a GM get yelled at and talked down to by his boss but everyone got treated like that. We'd look at each other saying WTF?
These jokers that replaced the good guys come from crazy stupid places and as long as manager is hanging from their shirt, they get hired as manager trainees and as good managers either get fed up of being ridden hard and hung out to dry, quit or get fired, these clue darts get moved into their spots.
This happens over and over again and even after time, I still hear about it from friends at different stores. Time has gone by and changed but these actions haven't. The scary thing is these strong managers that are out the door, are the ones that have degrees, real managing experience, and make sure their people and customers are taken care of, while these inexperienced jokers, right out of high school, are put in their stores and told to swim.
Yeah, customers should be important but these idiots have no clue how to treat them. To keep the customer happy, the staff & store has to be “happy”. It doesn’t happen a lot cause when things and morale get close, the same crap happens and the manager is gone. It’s hard for upper management to see what’s going on when they can’t see everything or aren't getting whole pictures about what's up. When there’s a malfunction who actually can say something? The pee-on (and that's a GM when you're talking about his boss and higher) or the guy who can take the paycheck out of your hand and the roof from over your head? Who do you think is going to get listened to? I know things were jacked up before and what I hear still is, so who knows what upper management sees.
I doubt the store is failing, people are always going to find easy ways to get stuff, but unless levels of management learn about treatment of people, they’re gonna keep loosing good managers and there isn't alot of them left. They need to figure out where the good ones are or went to, bring them into the light and let them pass the knowledge and know-how to the newbies rather than killing them off and letting these jokers take the wheel for a joy ride.
