This is in regard to lowe's credit card services. First of all, the interest rate is an ungodly 21 percent. Secondly, we received the strangest phone call from them.
We had the lowes card for over 4 years. Nothing irregular happened. We always pay the bill on time. Then we received a phone call on the 16th of September from lowes credit card services saying that they were offering us a 'special' deal to the effect that they would lower our interest rate to 15 percent and double our monthly payments and close the account. They said that they were offering this to 'certain customers'.

This is odd considering that we make our monthly payments on time. They may be the minimum payments, but they are always on time. When we tried to inquire as to the reason behind this, the customer service rep. who phoned us out of the blue was evasive and wierd. She only kept repeating that they were offering this 'special' deal to certain customers. When we asked to speak to her supervisor, she refused. We still are 'in the dark' as to why phones us with thin not so 'special' deal.
