ResumeMyCareer (RMC) did a very poor job in delivering what they promise. The business is set up like a classic fraud, and being online, they make sure to operate in a way that most people will move on because the frustration.

As for their brand, the company promise to deliver resume, cover letters, and other services to help people start applying for jobs. RMC is basically a template-based company that is able to offer inexpensive services because they use the same templates over and over. I have no issue with that, and people in my position that are trying to find a job has very limited resources and will likely to invest in a less expensive service. My issue with RMC is that they didn't deliver on the promise of their brand. Far from it in fact, and that's just a ripoff.

The business is not registered with any service where the consumers can rate their services. After the last 2 months dealing with this company it's not surprising. There are some reviews on their site, but those of course were hand-picked and can not be verified at all. So consumers have no way to fight back or more importantly let the public know what a ripoff this company is.

Some of the unprofessional service they provided includes sentences that are clearly a leftover from someone else' resume, and returning a 'revised' resume after 3-10 days where only a word was changed, where in fact the task was to restructure the entire document. There was also lack of communication, where the company ignored my phone calls and emails for several days, hoping I will let go.

It was very frustrating. I decided to let it go finally, because it cost me in many missing opportunities over the last two months. It's also frustrating because there's no accountability. When I finally got one agent on the phone it was only because I used a phone number that was different than what they expected my number to be, that they answered. The agent was clearly surprised to hear my voice and was caught off guard. When I asked to speak with a supervisor he told me there's only couple of guys at this company and that they're all equal, and that I will get the same answers from the 'supervisor'. I got to the supervisor finally, and indeed I got the same run around disappointment.

It bothers me even more because this company suppose to provide customers with a great resume so they can finally find a job. You're serving the public in a way. Everything I experienced with this company over two months period was a disaster, disappointment, and frustration. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through it, so I'm taking an hour of my day to simply write this review and hopefully you got to see it before you hired them.

Good luck.
