Pacifica, CAI was contacted by Consolidated Media Services for a magazine subscription. After they received my subscription I was mysteriously signed up for a long distance service that I had never heard of. Money was deducted from my bank account. While I got the money back I felt very deceived by CMS. I contacted them about cancellation but was informed that that was only possible within the first three days of signing up. At that point it was after the 3 days period. I thought I had to stay with the subscription as a result.
However, after reading the report published concerning other's treatment from CMS that is similar to mine I realized that what happened to me was wrong. Also, it has come to my attention that they are charging me way too much for the four magazine subscriptions that I receive. Also, I haven't received any of the other magazines that I requested. I want to cancel my subscription and get my money back but I feel powerless to do so.
