Household Finance is the parent company of Beneficial and
H & R Block. I had a loan with Beneficial and at the time of
the loan I worked for a company. During the loan I got another
job and Beneficial did not know about it.

When I had trouble paying the loan Beneficial contacted me and
told me to the penny what I was now earning and where I worked,
I asked them how they knew that and they refused to answer.

I have filed my taxes for many years thru H & R Block and am
curious could Beneficial have gotten the info from them?

Also I understand that H & R Block is required because of a
class action lawsuit to pay back some people it charged for
loans years ago. Does anyone know how you go about getting
this done?

household - beneficial aka h&r block

here is the answer to your question how did household/beneficial find out about your other job ..... i am an ex-collections adjuster for benefical/household.. here is how it works where do you think the rapid refund checks come from they come from household bank anything you file an rapid refund or file with h& r block the information goes to household and a list is given to household / beneficial collections who give them to the collection employees gives your name new ph # add and place and ph of employment legal according to them it even tells us when you expect your refund and how much. we as the collectors are not allwed to tell you the customer we have this information we are suppose to word it as when do you expect your refund to come in.. even though we already have all your information.. also when you apply for credit we are allwed once a month to pull a new credit bureau report on you it also will tell new ph address and emplyment with that even if it dont have the ph or add we have other database that will bring up the rest of the information with what we have found on the cbr..
