la porte, txOn 4/16/2002 my husband & I were scammed to the tune of $2,8885. The next morning after being alerted to their deceptive practices by postings on this website & confirming these allegations with the Houston BBB & having also learned of the Texas Attorney General's Deceptive Trade Practices Lawsuit agains them, we appeared in person with a letter requesting an immediate cancellation and refund.
Ever since we have been relentless in our pursuit of a refund & have written and faxed several letters to different people with Travelbridge both locally & out of state.... all to no avail. We have been waging battle with them for almost a month now and we are determined to still press on.
** If you too fell prey to their lies and purchased a membership between March 1st,2002 to date please post your story with the Rip Off Report** This will help me determine how many others were victimized despite the Texas Attorney General's Injuction against prohibiting them to 'representing expressly or by implication that their members are entitled to Travel Agent rates'.
I will be contacting the Attorney General's Division to submit proof of this against them and hopefully will have Travelbridge permanently prohibited from running this kind of scam in Texas!!!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about “consumer confidence" when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

Hi folks....
Thought I'd share this. On Feb. 15, 2002 the Texas Attorney General's office issued an injunctive prohibition against Travelbridge ' 1)using terms 'Travel Agent rates', 'Agent rates', or other similar terms in describing benefits their members are entitled to and 2) representing expressly or by implication that their members are entitled to Travel Agent rates'.
If like us, you fell prey to Travelbridge's continuing deceptions & misrepresentations in violation of the above injuction, please file your Rip-off Report too.
