All State auto insurance is such a rip off!!!

I was just recently in a car accident and put a claim in to have my vehicle repaired.

**********Keep in mind that this was my first time filing a claim, so I did not know what after market parts were.********

When I went to get my car inspected, All State told me that they were going to put after market parts in my car and when I asked them what they were, they said they were parts that were backed up by a lifetime warranty. So I thought great, I'm getting the best quality parts put on my car.

But when I took my car to the shop, they explained to me that aftermarket parts were parts that are not originally manufactured by my car company (not OEM's). When I found out, I called All State and told them that I did not want after market parts put on my car. But they told me that they could not replace the damaged parts on my car with new OEM parts.

They said, that I could either get used OEM parts, aftermarket parts or fix the parts that were damaged. They said the reason that they could not give me new OEM parts was because my car was two years old and that they did not OWE me new OEM parts, but TWO-YEAR OLD PARTS. They said that this WAS all stated in my policy. Right, then how come this was not explained to me when I got the insurance??!!

And get this, two months ago I installed new custom rims on my car that were $255 each, and to my dismay, one of the rims was damaged in the accident. Even though All State charges me $200 a month to insure my vehicle, they told me that they could not replace the rim, they could only repair it. But the rim cannot be completely repaired because it is a two-tone rim and even though it could be 'repaired' (by fixing the bent edge), it could never be painted to match the rest of the rims.

Not only did they steal my money monthly but they refused to fix my car properly, and to top it off they gave me rude and crappy service. I hope that All State goes out of business soon.

Beware of All State Auto Insurance car owners!!
