Aspire Visa is by far the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The customer service representatives are the the rudest and most 'unwilling to help' bunch of people I have come across in a long time.

Here is my story....I had a NextCard Visa and the company closed for some reason. I received an offer in the mail from Aspire Visa to transfer my balance from Nextcard. I thought it looked like a good deal, so I called and did the transfer.

I received a bill later that month, and the minimum payment was significantly higher than it was on my Nextcard bill. I promptly called Aspire and explained the situation. The representative that I spoke with told me no problem, she would do a 'reverse balance transfer'--they would transfer the balance back to my Nextcard (her words, not mine)and that it would take approximately 72 hours to take place. I then asked if I owed anything that month for a payment. She told me 'no, don't worry about it'. And that's exactly what I did.

A month later, I receive a bill from Aspire again. This time, I owed twice the amount with an amount past due. I was really panicked about that and I immediately called Aspire once again. With an amount past due, your call (once you enter your credit card number on your phone key pad) goes directly to the collections portion of the company. I explained my situation 3 different times...I kept getting so angry I would have to hang up and call back. Every last representative I spoke with could see that the person I spoke to a month before, did this 'reverse balance transfer' but they didn't claim to what that was. They never heard of it.

They could not (would not, I think) even let me speak to someone in customer service. They said they couldn't transfer my call over there until I paid the minimum balance due (not to mention a late fee and over the limit fee). So, I kept asking to talk to a supervisor or manager. No one would let me do that. They said they either weren't there or they were busy. The last representative I spoke to that evening promised to have a supervisor call me. Yeah...I'm still waiting for that call. All anyone could tell me was....can't you pay the amount due by the 18th. I even had one representative basically laughing at me. He really made me angry!!

I feel that I am totally stuck with Aspire visa and I cannot do anything to get out of this situation. I feel that I am totally not responsible for the late payment fees and the double-minimum balance since I was told that everything was taken care of the month before. I have never been so furious with a company and it's employees, who once again, are the worst bunch of sorry excuses for human beings, that I have ever had to deal with.

That's basically my story with Aspire Visa. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.
