Chalk up another ripoff for the Southwest Audio gang. They got me tonight. Apparently they are makeing thier way south and are in San Antonio. I had just gotten my financial aid check and as I walked outside of an H-E-B these two driving a with Texas plates stopped me. Once again had a truckload of crappy speakers (AUDIOFILE 830LR) and needed to get rid of them or thier boss was going to take them.

The driver talked to me while the passenger waited paitiently. The speakers were still sealed in the box and he had a reciept from Southwest Audio and a laminated sheet with the speakers specs. it looked legit and sounded like a good deal, my conscience told me no but my mind said yes and as soon as he had the money in his hands he was gone.

He gave me a drivers licence and I took down his info, he even gave me his home number. I called the number on the reciept and the one he gave me both were fake. I dont even know if the speakers work, probably not, I'll stick to buying from stores from now on.
